Day 21 and 22

Ah I give up trying to write everyday. I keep trying and I think of it then I get distracted.

Yesterday was a good day, I went to spin class which is always fun. Did you know you burn around 1500 calories in a spin class! crazy! I also ate pretty healthy other than the butter on my popcorn that I had last night.

I have started to add in cinnamon to my morning smoothies, sooo good. It is good to help kick start your materialism as well.

I have also downloaded some really cool apps on my phone that I love, one is a 7 minute work out app, they give you different workouts to do everyday. You can make it so it is longer than 7 mins as well. The other one I got is a Jillian Micheals one, it has a meal planner (for extra so I didn't do that), a journal, where you write in your exercise and what you eat and some exercises you can do at home. I love it, it makes you accountable for what you are eating. It also tells you how many carbs, calories, fat and protein and sugar you are taking in with what your eating.

I tried cucumber water yesterday and didn't like it, I think i put in to many cucumbers for my water bottle. So now i am back to lemon water :)

Days 17, 18, 19, and 20

I really need to start posting on the weekends, I have the app on my phone. Its not like it is a hard thing to do.
Anyways, this weekend wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, I drank 4 liters of water ever day and even got in a bit of exercise at the conference. The food we had was pretty healthy and there was always some fruit and veggies.

The bad part was I had McDonald's on  Sunday for the first time in almost 6 months. It was so good but not what I remembered. Sunday night I then woke up in the middle of the night sick and spent most of the night and most of Monday with a touch of food poisoning. Not fun.

Good news is that I lost 6 pounds on week one of this challenge I am doing through my moms Co-Worker so I hope I can keep that up.

Because I was sick yesterday I didn't make it to the gym :( but hope to get to the track tonight, we will see how I feel after my 12 hour work day.

I would also like to point out that it is day 20 without pop :)

Keep at those resolutions and remember if you slip up just start again, its okay :)

Day 15 and 16

Work has been crazy busy the last two days so I didn't get to write yesterday. With being so busy it it hard tie to take care of one's self but I think I have been doing a pretty good job. I only got one negative point so far and that was for a cupcake today, I will get another one because I am going to have a mocha after work but I need something before I go to my Guide training. This weekend is just going to be bad for food, we are having dinner tonight and lunch and dinner out tomorrow. I am going to try and eat as healthy as possible but I think tonight is just pizza so I will have to have lots of veggies and fruit with one slice. Tomorrow will be easier cause we will be going to a restaurant and can have salads and stuff like that.

I have been drinking tons of water! for every liter I drink I get a point so it is a pretty easy four points so why not, plus it is good for you. I couldn't get to the gym yesterday, or today or tomorrow (going bowling on Sunday, does that count? lol) so I have been and will keep doing home workouts,

Day 14

Today has been a good day so far. I have decided that I need to stop checking the scale everyday, that is not healthy at all! I am really sore today. I walked 4km in 40 mins last night with my group that I work with, me and one of the members just went off and walked and a little bit of running. We also did a few laps with weights, swinging them and doing reps as we walked.

I only drank 3 liters of water yesterday like I thought I would.

Today my goal is 4 liters again, we will see how it goes. I did some stretching on my lunch break today because I am so sore so that was really nice. Tonight I have spin then I am going to do some arm work at home.

Nothing else is really new in the way of my healthy life change

Day 13

Yesterday was a great day!
I went to spin and barre! (I wont be going back to barre though cause all the squatting hurt my back to much) Since I did that bubble soccer on Sunday my legs are like jelly now! Very proud of myself for doing two classes though.
Also yesterday I got 11 points for the challenge I am doing,
1 for eating 5 servings of veggies
2 for making my lunch and dinner
4 for drinking 4 liters of water
4 points for doing 2 hours of workout
0 because I had breakfast
0 because I talked to someone about non work related stuff for over 5 mins
0 because I had 3 solid meals
0 because I slept for over 5 hours
(these last 4 things are all things you should be doing so you get a minus point for not doing them)
0 because I didn't eat after 9 pm (that was a custom one I switched with pop since I am not drinking pop anyways) (if I did -1 point)
0 because I didn't have any fast food (if I did -1 point for each part of the meal ie fries, burger)
0 because I didn't have any sweets or treats ( If I did -1 point for each thing eaten)
0 because I didn't have over two alcoholic drinks

Today I am just really tired but its been a good day in the way of eating healthy, I did some workout during lunch and the group that I work with on Tuesdays nights is going to the track for our activity tonight  Today I will only get 8 points cause I will only drink 3 liters of water and be doing an hour of workout all together

Days 9, 10, 11, 12

I am not used to writing on a blog everyday, hopefully I can get better.

The last few days have been great, and in the past 11 days I have lost 8 pounds! (What!!!!!)

I left my essential oil pills where I was house sitting so I just got them back today so I couldn't take them over the weekend but took one as soon as I got them.

I went to spin on the 10th and went to the track for an hour and went to bubble ball soccer on the 11th (bubble ball is this awesome thing where you are in this big blow up ball and you can do flips and stuff, we have a drop in game of soccer in them in Yellowknife and definitely going to have to go again, when you fall and have to get your self back up its so hard, my legs are so sore today :) ).

Today also marks the first day of a 21 day challenge I am doing that a friend is putting on. She makes this big spreed sheet and you get points for doing stuff like going to the gym or get points taken away if you drink pop or eat sweets.

I have also been doing my at home workouts but changing it up a bit, I do a verity of stuff from my original plan and the other challenge that I posted and also have been doing some arm work with weights because I do no weight training which is bad.

I also have been drinking water with lemon in it for the most part. I find my mouth gets mucus in it more when I have lemon water so I have regular water when I am working out or else I feel like I can't breath sometimes.

I am back at home now for a week and a half so before my next house sitting job so I eat pretty healthy at home because my mom makes sure the dinner is healthy and I have been making sure to have a good lunch. Still having an egg and toast for breakfast but I need to add back in my smoothie to take to work. It means I have to get up a few minutes earlier and I just love my sleep so much that it is hard.

Day 8

Today has been a good day, had breakfast, had a salad for lunch, going to go home and do my workout but skip the gym because I have to get all my stuff together because the person I have been house sitting for gets home tomorrow. I am going to make a wrap for dinner. I wish I had drank more water during the day than I did but I will try and make up for some of it this evening.

Day 5,6 and 7

So I have been really busy the last few days so here is an update.
With being so busy I haven't stuck to my menu at all other than breakfast. But I have been eating as healthy as I can. I have had a few slips but I am not beating myself up over that.
I realized that the last thing I want to do when I get home from a 12 hour work day on Tuesday is work out.... So we will see how next Tuesday goes but I may just call that a day off from working out. (Next Tuesday my group I work with on Tuesday nights is going to the track anyways so there is my workout).

I did go to spin on Day 5 and did my at home workout and I am going to do my at home workout on my lunch today, (I guess i could normally do my at home workouts Tuesdays at lunch but I had to run some earns yesterday) and I am going to spin tonight.

I have been drinking tons of water!! like so much. I normally add in real lemon or when I am at work the pre squeezed stuff which probably isn't as good for you but is easier than bringing lemons to work.

As for my New Years resolution, this is day 7 with out pop :D

Day 4

I drank tons of water today! Didn't have breakfast because I laid in bed till noon so I had and egg, toast, and a bunch of roasted veggies for lunch. I was doing a ton of running around so had a veggie sub with no cheese from subway. 

I did my workout at home and went to the gym where I did half an hour on the stair master and 20 mins on the bike. 

I now have a goal, to wear a really cute dress that is a bit to small on my Birthday when I am in Vancouver :) it is 89 days away, wouldn't it be great if the dress was to big?

So now along with doing what I posted earlier I am also adding these in, they are so quick and simple. And love it! It gives you a number of glasses of water to drink just to make sure you are drinking water but I am already drinking tons of water so it's all good. Off the the gym soon, will give a day 4 update latter tonight

Day 3

Today was a bit of a hard day, I didn't have breakfast cauae I didn't get up till 11 due to the fact I couldn't get to sleep till 5am. Because I didn't have much sleep I had no intention of going to spin but I did do my at home workout. 
I had quinoa with veggies for lunch and some popcorn at the movie I went and saw this afternoon then had a sandwich with a bit of mayo, bacon, cucumber, tomatoes, mushrooms, and lettuce in it for dinner and had 3  peanut balls covered in dark chocolate for desert. 

I also made a detox drink, 
jillian michaels detox drink: 
60 oz of water
1 Tbsp cranberry juice (only PURE cranberry juice not the juice cocktail!)
2 Tbsp lemon juice

There are so many variations of this and I couldn't find real cranberry juice so used diet stuff, and couldn't find dandelion root tea so I added in David's tea detox tea and squeezed in a whole lemon. (Love living in yellowknife, can never get anything special). 
It will be interesting to see if it works. I will look for cranberry juice and dandelion tea at the crazy expensive whole food store next pay cheque. 

So I am drinking that right now and using an it works body wrap

Day two

Day two is going good so far. I have drank so much water and I already did my workout on my lunch. For lunch today I had a chicken causer wrap and some roasted green beans and broccoli. I also drank two glasses of water with it.

The bad part about today is that my co-worker did buy my chips cause I hadn't had any yet this year (and didn't eat them all last year) I did stop myself before going to far though so I am proud of myself for that.

I just got invited to a family friends for dinner tonight so the quinoa and veggies will have to take a back seat tonight but they people place we are going to are pretty healthy so it should be pretty good.. (honestly I am ready for Monday when the holidays are done and everyone can get back to normal and not going to parties every night).

I am looking at different detox waters now, there is a few I want to try and keep seeing places. I will let you know what one I decide to go with first and if it works. I just don't want to be drinking regular water all the time.

Day one

Today went well, I had my breakfast Of an egg and toast, I didn't have the smoothie cause I didn't wake up until 10:30 and then made enough quinoa and veggies for lunch today and dinner tomorrow. I had a dinner at a family friends house and they had food galor so I did eat a lot but tried to eat the more healthy stuff as much as possible.

I drank a ton of water, probably 3 litres which is good, I was doing that before the holidays so hopefully I can get back to that. 

I also did my workout so I am happy about that :)
